Baggage

Your baggage will be identified with a tag number when you check it. You will get a receipt for each bag checked.

Make sure the number of receipts corresponds to the number of bags checked and keep the receipts until you get to your destination. You will be able to identify your baggage with your tag number.

Baggage Allowance

Each passenger may check up to 64 kilograms, in accordance with the following specifications:

Each passenger shall pay a fixed amount of USD 25 for the first 20kg of checked baggage (equivalent to 1 baggage unit). This means that it is the weight, not the number of bags what is taken into account.

If the bag checked exceeds 20kg, the passenger shall pay a USD 5 per kilogram excess baggage (except for travel originating Brazil (USD 10) o originating in Brazil with destination Chile, which has a USD 15 per kilogram rate). In any case, each bag shall not weigh more than 32kg. Bags exceeding 32kg will not be accepted.

Each passenger is entitled to carry up to two bags, bearing in mind that for each kilogram exceeding the first 20kg, an excess baggage charge shall be paid in accordance with the paragraph above.

Subject to space availability on the aircraft’s hold, the passenger may check a third bag. In any case, the combined weight of the three bags may not exceed 64 kg and each kilogram in this third bag shall be paid as excess baggage.

Exception list:

1. Passengers who check-in online will have a USD 10 discount off their first bag (up to 20 kilograms). Passengers who experience technical difficulties when checking-in online will also have the USD 10 discount, provided that they hold proof of their attempts (error message print).

2. Passengers who buy “flexible fares” (booked in Y, B or M class service) will have a 100% discount off their first bag (not exceeding 20 kg). However, the USD 5 charge per excess kilogram will still apply.

4. Groups of 10 or more people booked on the same reservation will not pay the charge for the first checked bag.

5. Passengers travelling with an infant (0-2 years old) will have a USD 10 discount off their first piece because they cannot check-in online. In case two or more adults travel with an infant (all booked on the same reservation), they will also get the USD 10 discount off their first 20-kg bag.

6. Passengers travelling between Montevideo and Sao Paulo (non-connecting) will be exempted from the charge for their first checked bag.

7. These conditions do not apply for passengers holding tickets with offline sectors. However, excess baggage charges will be collected if the bag weight exceeds pluna’s allowance.
